1) Use our Pool Builder tool to design your dream pool.
Our Pool Builder tool makes it easy for you to design your ideal in-ground pool, choosing your favorite decking, pool shape, water and fire features, and more! Just make an account with us, and start designing.
When designing your pool, make sure you take into account the actual usable space in your yard. The size and dimensions of your yard will impact the shape and style of pool you can choose.
NOTE: The pool design you create through our Pool Builder tool is your opportunity to be creative. You will have the opportunity to change your design as you consult with our Raleigh in-ground pool team.
When you are finished with your design, save it and send it to our team.
2) Schedule an in-store consultation with one of our pool experts.
To kick off the pool-building process, it’s not only helpful to send us your fabulous pool design, but you also need to set up an in-store appointment at one of our brick-and-mortar locations in Raleigh or Garner, North Carolina.
During this initial consultation, our team will go through a range of crucial swimming pool details, from your budget to your material and style preferences to your ideal building timeline. Our pool experts will recommend a plan that suits your vision AND your price range, explaining all of your financing, equipment, and add-on options.
By the time you leave, we will have a game plan for the rest of your pool-build project, from the initial home consultation to final installation!
3) Our team will stop by for a home consultation.
Before we can finalize our installation plans, our team will need to survey your yard, taking note of any unique land features or potential challenges we’ll need to account for during our installation process.
During this home consultation, we will discuss things like…
- • Yard shape, size, and slope
- • Trees and ground type
- • The path that heavy equipment will need to travel from the road to the location of your pool.

4) Then, let us do our magic!
Once we’ve created a detailed installation plan and schedule, all that’s left for you to do is wait as our pool experts do their thing!
But what all goes into a pool installation?
The in-ground pool-building process starts with excavation. The shape of the pool will be painted and staked out in your yard. Then, the builder will dig out your pool.
Next comes the structural support phase. Our team will reinforce the hole and/or lay down a foundation of gravel. At this point, we will install the plumbing and electrical systems, any mechanical equipment, and the break box (or sub panel). Then, we will fill in your pool*, and it will start to take its intended shape.
Finally, we will add coping, decking, fencing, and any other landscaping features, bringing your dream pool vision to life!
*Depending on your choice of pool material – fiberglass, concrete, or vinyl – the installation process may look slightly different.
