Acid Washing

Acid washing is one form of maintenance for concrete pools. The porous nature of concrete allows for algae to grow quickly, so it is important to clean the pool walls and floor regularly. Acid washing is typically only done every 3-5 years to prevent algae and bacteria buildup on the surface of the pool. It also removes metallic stains (rust), calcium deposits, and organic stains.
