CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

Pre-construction | Day 1

Contract and Deposit
Homeowner signs contract, pays $2,000 deposit to secure permits for zoning, electrical, and Health Department fees (health fees apply only to homes with septic tanks), and provides a copy of their survey to Rising Sun Pools.

Establish Start Date
Rising Sun Pools assigns tentative construction "Start Date". This date is subject to change pending delays outside our control such as turn around on approval from a Homeowner's Association and/or the Health Department in the event of a septic tank.

Pre-construction | Days 2-3*

Apply for Permits

  • Rising Sun applies for permits within 2 business days.
  • Customer to contact Homeowner's Association (if applicable) for approval requirements.
  • Rising Sun Pools will submit scaled drawing to customer for their submission to the Homeowner's Association for approval.

Construction Begins | Day 1*
  • Rising Sun paints the pool layout on the ground for homeowners approval
  • Rising Sun shoots elevations and verifies grade pitches and the levelness ground (using laser transit) and goes over with homeowner for final approval
  • Dig hole
  • Set steel panels
  • Rough in all plumbing
  • Pour foundation around the pool walls

Note:
The homeowner MUST be present at day 1 for sign-off of pool placement and elevations BEFORE the DIG. If the landscaping is being professionally designed, we also recommend that the landscape company be on-site as well.

Day 2*
  • Rough backfill of excavated dirt around pool
  • Finish plumbing
  • Set filtration equipment
  • Apply concrete and vermiculite finish to pool bottom

Note:
After day 2, homeowner to contact electrician and concrete company to schedule appointments. (If not already done)

Pool Bottom

Days 4-12*

Electrical work is completed and inspected.

Days 13-20*

If retaining walls and/or drainage work are needed, It will be done at this time.

 

Days 30-45*

The patio is poured.

Note:
Ideally, allow 4 weeks or longer for backfill to settle (the pool decking is less susceptible to cracking the longer the dirt sttles around your pool).

Liner Installed | Days 31-46*

After the patio is completed the viynl liner is installed and the pool is filled.

Installing Liner

Final Construction | 31-46 Days*

After liner is installed and the pool is filled and the customer is provided with all manual cleaning equipment, automatic pool equipment and shown complete operations of the swimming pool. A notebook containing all manuals and warranty information given to customer. Final payment made to Rising Sun Pools.
